UPDATE: Alberta 511 now expects delays of up to three hours. Extreme heavy smoke is in the area.
Highway 40 south of Grande Prairie is currently closed at the Cutbank River due to a crash. Alberta 511 says there’s reports of heavy smoke in the area, leading to reduced visibility.

The province says delays of less than 30 minutes are expected at this point, but the Grovedale Fire Department is on the scene and says the roadway is closed to traffic.
