Grande Prairie-wide parking ban to be lifted Thursday

Parking bans across Grande Prairie will be lifted Thursday. Transportation Services Manager Robert Carroll says all priority two routes have been cleared and windrows have been picked up. He also thanks residents for their patience.

After 9 p.m. tonight, drivers can park like usual on 100th Street, 68th Avenue, Resources Road and Highway 40, as well as along bus routes. A ban was put into place on January 4th in anticipation of several days of snowfall.

Plows will be in Westpointe, Pinnacle Ridge, O’Brien Lake, Mission Heights and Stoneridge Thursday. Vehicles should be off the road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. so they can be cleared as much as possible.
