Grande Prairie residents looking to get rid of their live Christmas tree simply need to leave it on their curb. Starting this week, Aquatera will be collecting them along their regular garbage routes.
Trees should be left one metre from their cart on the same day they leave their garbage and recycling. If a tree is taller than eight feet, it should be cut in half. All decorations should also be removed
If you miss collection or are eager to get rid of your holiday tree, they can also be dropped off at the Aquatera landfill for free. Fake trees are not being collected.
