Two local businesses have been nominated for the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction. Bear Creek Funeral Home is up against three other businesses in the Small Business category. The others are from Calgary, Rosebud, and Medicine Hat.
The Grande Prairie Live Theatre is up for a prize in the Arts and Culture category. They will be competing against two businesses in Lethbridge, and one from Edmonton and one from Calgary.
Winners will be announced on February 24th at Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel. These nods are given to organizations and businesses that have shown achievement and give back to the community.
