A preliminary hearing is set for a Grande Prairie man for his connection in a fatal rollover near Westlock. 21 year old Ryan Paul Ouelette is facing nine charges including dangerous driving causing death and bodily harm.
There were five people in a truck when it went off the road on August 19th near Highway 44 and Highway 661. A 23 year old was killed at the scene and another 23 year old was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The two were from nearby Dapp. A third 23 year old from Westlock was airlifted to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The fourth passenger, along with the driver, were not injured.
Ouelette will appear in Westlock Provincial Court on June 17th, 2017.
