Community feedback on Grimshaw Shared School Facility Project needed

The Town of Grimshaw and the Holy Family Catholic and Peace River School Divisions are now turning to the public for ideas and concerns about the Shared School Facility Project.
Replacement schools for Kennedy Elementary, Grimshaw Junior and Senior High, and Holy Family School were announced in December
A community conversation meeting is set for next Tuesday at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex, where the new K-12 public school and K-9 Catholic school would be attached.
PRSD Chair Darren Kuester says one of the aspects they’re looking for feedback on is a large community space.
“So far it’s kind of been the consensus of the committee that that community space could be used as a theatre area, and because of the theatre area it could also be used as a fine arts [space] for the schools.”
Whether it’s more like a theatre or auditorium, or if there should be a stage, is all up for discussion.
To get the ball rolling, there will be small working groups with trustees and town officials.
“[We want to hear] some of the concerns that they have with the project, and hear any input they might have, that might be some new and exciting ideas to put forward in the project as we move forward with developing it.”
The meeting will be held May 27th at 7 p.m.
