Rural library conference taking place in Grande Prairie

Members of the library community are attending a two day conference in Grande Prairie.

The 2016 Rural Libraries Conference kicked off this morning at the Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre. People from around the province, northeastern BC, and the Northwest Territories are in the city to attend sessions and network. There are around 150 members of the library community attending.

Keynote speakers include Denver, Colorado librarian Megan Hartline and leadership coach Kathy Archer.

This year’s conference highlights the role that library staff and trustees have as leaders in the library and community.
