Multiple not-for-profit organizations benefit from KMSC Law event

There will be 18 not-for-profit organizations that will reap the benefits of a golf event held in July.

The 7th Annual KMSC Law Golf Event was held on the 23rd to 26th of July at the Grande Prairie Golf and Country Club and raked in over $128,000 in contributions and gift-in-kind.

Although their goal was to top the nearly $86,000 that was doled out last year, the proceeds from the event were just under $69,000 and still go to various community groups in the area.

To help, the event had celebrity golfer Alan McLean out for the four-day event. He provided help for the kids with a junior clinic.

Funds will also go to the QE II Hospital Founation, Centre for Creative Arts, Special Olympics Grande Prairie, The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Grande Prairie, PARDS, Grande Prairie and District Catholic School Education Foundation, Grande Prairie Performing Arts Guild, the Suicide Prevention Resource Centre and the Grande Prairie & District Grief Support Association.
