RCMP are investigating a second fire at Mary Brown’s Chicken in Fort St John that happened less than a month after the first one.
The fire happened around 11:30 pm Monday of the long weekend. Fire crews arrived to find a fire burning that had been mostly put out by the sprinkler system.
There was also a broken window when crews arrived.
The first fire at this same location happened on July 10th around 3:20 am and is under investigation as arson.
These two fires follow the pair of fires that happened earlier in the year at the Mary Brown’s in Grande Prairie. On January 12th, surveillance footage showed three people pouring gasoline over the floor and lighting a small fire by the back exit as they left. Then on February 28th, the business was extensively damaged by fire after a witness saw a flash inside the building.
