Fire hazard remains very high with cooler temperatures

Rain and cooler temperatures around the region in the next few days will lower the fire hazard in some areas. Alberta Wildfire says that although there is the possibility for lower fire hazard it is still sitting at very high and there is still opportunity for human caused fires. They add that people who decide to burn should evaluate the weather in the specific location.

A fire over the weekend that was sparked in the Deep Valley area has been extinguished. This season there has been 52 wildfires in the Grande Prairie Forest Area with one currently listed as being held.
