Two Grande Prairie Vice Principals are being recognized for their leadership in Alberta schools. Andrea Couture and Charlie Kraig of the Grande Prairie Public School District are two of 18 across the province being recognized with the Council for School Leadership Distinguished Leadership Award.
Couture has been the École Parkside Vice Principal for the last two years and has held many roles within the district. She used to be an Academic Support Teacher and has taught Grade Five in the past.
Kraig is a Vice Principal at Alexander Forbes and was nominated by another Vice Principal at that same school.
The two women were celebrated in Calgary last Friday.
