UPDATE #2: Power has been restored to the Fairview GPRC campus but classes remain cancelled for the remainder of the day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 24th, 2016.
Update: A power outage has affected the town of Fairview, including the GPRC campus. Classes are cancelled today, Friday, May 20, 2016.
Power outages are being reported in the northwest part of the province due to severe weather. ATCO Electric says a broad area near Beaverlodge, Valleyview and up to Peace River is experiencing the outage.
They add that they are working to get the power back up safely and as quickly as possible.
