Four Grande Prairie hockey players have been named to Team Northwest for the upcoming Alberta Cup. They’re joined by four others from around the Peace, including Crooked Creek, Valleyview, Bonanza and Peace River.
The Alberta Cup brings together some of the best 2001-born players from across the province for a four day tournament. Eighty of them will be invited to the U-16 Male Provincial Camp in July.
The 30th anniversary of the event will run April 28th to May 1st in Canmore. Grande Prairie will also be represented on Edmonton Yellow by Matt Keillor as a mentor.
