The official population of Grande Prairie is 68 556 people. The 2015 Municipal Affairs Population List released the information from the Municipal Census done from April to June 2015.
Although the population does not include the newly annexed areas of the city, the Swan City has grown by about 13 524 since 2011.
Mayor Bill Given says this will allow the opportunity to apply for more grants.
