Two unidentified men could face up to $1000 in fines for dumping garbage in Wapiti Dunes. The suspects were caught on camera on September 9th 2015 dumping the waste with a bobcat and trailer. The Dunes are public land and if the two men are identified, they could face their charges under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act and would include orders to clean up the area.
A dirt biker was also spotted in the camera that could possibly identify the suspects. If you witness someone dumping waste on public land, you can call the Environmental Hotline 800-222-6514.
