High Prairie home invasion suspects found not guilty

Two of the men facing charges after a home invasion in High Prairie last December have been found not guilty.

In a one day trial last Friday, all other charges against John Isadore of Driftpile and Daniel Bigcharles of Edmonton were dropped, except for an assault with a weapon charge against Bigcharles, which earned him a $200 fine, a day in jail, and a 10 year firearm prohibition.

Earlier in April, Sean Bigcharles of East Prairie plead guilty to obstructing a police officer and was sentenced to his time served and a $100-dollar fine.

The three men were arrested on December 23, 2013 fleeing from police after several young men reportedly broke into a home, assaulted the homeowner, and stole various items.
