UPDATE: “Surrey Boys” arrested after ALERT raids in GP

Update: 31 year old Thomas Saul, 31 year old Kristopher Soucy, 25 year old Richard Morales, and 21 year old Danielle Zentner will face a total of 73 drug and firearms-related charges, according to RCMP.

Update: 1.4 kilograms of cocaine, 1.5 kilograms of marijuana, 59 grams of heroine, 35 grams of MDMA and 20 fentanyl pills were seized, according to Chad Coles, Inspector in charge of the ALERT regional team. Coles says this is a significant amount of drugs to be taken out of the community and an operation like this would have a big impact. He explains that out of the two handguns seize, one of them was stolen.

Four people associated with an organized crime group known as the “Surrey Boys” have been arrested in Grande Prairie. The arrests follow raids by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team and a significant amount of drugs and cash seized, along with two handguns.

ALERT says search warrants were done on January 21st and three Grande Prairie residences were searched with the assistance of RCMP Grande Prairie. Cash and three vehicles were also seized as offence related property and ALERT says all of the items will be submitted to the province’s civil forfeiture office.
