Four years in prison for string of armed robberies

A man arrested for four robberies in less than two weeks has plead guilty to his charges. Carson Edward Sakundiak was taken into custody on November 11th of last year, after the Husky gas station in Clairmont was robbed.

The 20 year old was also accused of robbing three liquor stores in the hamlet as well as Grande Prairie between October 27th and November 9th. Sakundiak plead guilty to four counts of armed robbery earlier this week and was sentenced to three years and eight months in jail, along with a 10 year firearms prohibition.

His sentence took into account the time he’s served already, and his other charges were withdrawn.
