Winter IV: The Melt, sets heat record

How do you follow up a month of historic snowfall? High temperature records, obviously.

Saturday saw the warmest January 10th on record when it hit 7.3 degrees Celsius at the Grande Prairie Airport, surpassing the 2001 record of 6.2 degrees Celsius.

It’s likely not going to be the end of the records, as of Monday at 7 a.m., Environment Canada recorded an ambient of 5 degrees Celcius, unofficially already making it the warmest January 12th since 2014.
