Victory for Grande Prairie fighter at Fivestar Fight League's "Homecoming"

There were both wins and losses for Alberta Peace fighters at Fivestar Fight League’s homecoming event in Fort St. John Friday night.

Grande Prairie’s Alex Martinez improved his record to 2-2 when he submitted Alex Paul of Cold Lake by armlock 1:28 into the second round.

Both Jacob Moore and Ken Elter of Peace River fell to hometown fighters.

In his fighting debut Moore lost to Mike Friesen via unanimous decision, while Ken Elter suffered his second loss when he was submitted by keylock to Ron Pope in the first round.

The success continued for Fort St. John fighters, as Duncan Willson won the welterweight title over Jonathan Cowan of Cold Lake with a TKO in round two.

In the main event, Brad Stewart defended his middleweight title against Cody Krahn of Edmonton with a knockout in round three.
