UPDATE: Highway 43 is now open to single lane traffic two kilometres west of Fox Creek. As of 5:30 this morning a lane has been reopened, but there may still be minor delays. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
A seven vehicle collision has closed the westbound lanes of Highway 43, two kilometres west of Fox Creek. RCMP says it involved three large trucks and four passenger trucks at 7 p.m.
The highway is expected to be closed for the next several hours as hazardous goods are cleaned up. In the meantime, westbound traffic is being diverted through the town.
Anyone who was hurt in the crash has been treated for minor injuries and everyone has since been released.
