A raid of a property southwest of Grande Prairie Tuesday resulted in RCMP seizing more than a million dollars of what is believed to be stolen property. Police say on December 1 they recovered over 40 vehicles and and quite a number of work related items like tools and generators. RCMP say the acreage was well known to them and has a history of property related offences.
RCMP are still trying to determine and track down the owners of all the stolen property that was seized, but the process is taking some time due the sheer number of items. Anyone who has been a recent victim of theft is being asked to make sure they have a copy of any police file numbers, serial numbers, or other details about their property.
There’s no word yet on whether or not charges are being laid in connection to this seizure, but RCMP say the investigation is still ongoing.
