A wind warning has been issued for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview region. Environment Canada says strong westerly winds with gusts up to 90 kilometres an hour are expected this afternoon.
Here in Grande Prairie they could get that strong this morning. It’s expected they’ll die down by Sunday afternoon.
Winds that strong could cause damage to buildings, like roof shingles and windows. Loose objects could also be tossed around, potentially leading to injury.
