Man sentenced for cross-border crime spree

A 360 day sentence has been handed down to one of two men found passed out after a crime spree between Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek. According to the Alaska Highway News, 29 year old Michael Ginter was sentenced for possession of stolen property and break and enter charges stemming back to April 2nd of this year.

Police say he and 33 year old Joseph Semple stole a vehicle in GP and worked together to break in and stealing $200,000 worth of property from multiple businesses, homes and vehicles on their way to B.C. Ginter was arrested napping behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle on April 2nd, just like his alleged accomplice Joseph Semple in another location.

Ginter must also pay $1,700 dollars in restitution, but was given 314 days credit for time served.
