The St. Joes Celtics are advancing once again after beating the Paul Kane Blues in the provincial Tier 2 quarter-finals over the weekend. The Celtics earned their 29 consecutive victory with a 33-9 win over the St. Albert team at the CKC Field Saturday.
The Celtics are currently the number 1 ranked Tier 2 squad, while the Blues are number 2. The Celtics will now play the Lloydminster Barons in the provincial semi finals on November 21.
Meanwhile, the Sexsmith Sabres played the Vermilion Marauders in the Tier 4 provincial quarter-finals Saturday, beating the team 48 to 27. The Sabres will move on to play the Ardrossan Bisons this weekend.
