A vehicle in the Richmond Industrial Park area caught fire earlier this afternoon. The Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to an industrial building around 1:45 p.M. Sunday.
When crews arrived there was already smoke coming out of the building’s service bays. They were able to get inside to find the truck on fire in one of the vehicle bays.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze quickly. However, extensive damage was done to the service bay area.
No one was in the building at the time of the fire. The cause is now under investigation and there’s no estimate yet of the cost of the damage.
