Around 5:30 p.m., the officer found the black four-door car on Range Road 112 northwest of Hythe. When the officer asked the man sitting in the driver’s seat to get out, the suspect put the vehicle into gear and quickly accelerated.
The mountie was dragged roughly 50 metres before letting go. They’ve since been treated for non-life threatening injuries as have been released from hospital.
The driver is described as Caucausian, 40 to 50 years old, with a scruffy grey beard, dentures, and wearing a black jacket and baseball cap. The woman who was in the car with him is also described as Caucasian, 40 to 50 years old with chin length blonde hair.
