RCMP are investigating an armed robbery at a hotel on the north end of the city over the weekend. On Saturday around 6:30 am police were called to the Stonebridge Hotel after two men had reportedly entered the lobby with a suitcase and went into the bathroom.

When they came back out one of the men threatened the receptionist with a firearm and demanded money while the second man removed the safe. The two men then fled in a white Ford F250.

The first suspect is described as about 5’10” with a mole on the right side of his face, wearing thick black framed glasses, a puffy jacket with the hood up, and skinny jeans. The second suspect is described as 5’5″ with light coloured, possibly hazel eyes, wearing dark grey nylon style pants, a grey knitted sweater, a grey toque, sunglasses. He was also carrying the firearm.

Anyone with information on the robbery or the two suspects is asked to contact the local detachment or Crime Stoppers.
