Alberta’s budget won’t be balanced until a year after initially promised.
Finance Minister Joe Ceci says with the long-term slump in oil prices, a balanced budget won’t come until the 2019/2020 fiscal year. He also placed some of the blame on the former provincial government for not saving up or diversifying the economy.
Other than that, Ceci says the NDP will be honouring its other campaign promises, and assures residents there won’t be any major surprises when the budget is released next Tuesday.
