Alberta Health Services is hosting a half day symposium next week for Grande Prairie residents whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Cancer patients, survivors, and their family members are invited to attend Living Your Best Life With and Beyond Cancer on October 16. The symposium will cover information on how exercise and positive psychology can improve the lives of those who are living with or who have survived cancer.
There will be a question and answer session with an oncologist, guest speakers from the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary, information about chronic disease self management, and stories from cancer survivors about how they are working towards healthy living.
The deadline for registration is October 13. The symposium is being held in the QEII Hospital Discovery Room from 1 to 4:30 pm next Friday.
