Police are still on the hunt for a possibly armed man near Fox Creek. The suspect ran away from the scene of a crash on Highway 43 just before noon Thursday, and got into another vehicle that was seemingly waiting for him.
The SUV is described as a white hatchback with a black oval or circular marking on the hatch. Despite the use of RCMP Air Services, the vehicle and man have not been spotted since 1:45 p.m. on Highway 947.
The man is described as Caucasian, roughly 5’11”, wearing blue jeans, a camouflage jacket and a white bandana over his face at the time. He was see running into the bushes with what looked like a rifle.
Sergeant Warren Wright says the general public is not at risk, as long as they don’t approach them. He adds that the search will not stop until a suspect is in custody. Any info should be directed to RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
