Locals asked back to Storm training camp

Nearly a third of the players taking part in the Grande Prairie Storm training camp later this month have ties to the Peace region. Of the 38 players confirmed attending, 11 are from Grande Prairie and the surrounding region.

From August 21st to 23rd, the rookies and returning players will be tested, will all ice times open to the public at Revolution Place. As is tradition, the Brian Nash Memorial Cup will be played Sunday night, as a tribute to the man who helped found the club.

The teams for the game haven’t been officially named yet, but they will take their monikers from two former captains who made a big impact during their time on ice.
