Surveillance captures Hythe break and enter suspect

A man already facing charges for the armed robbery of a grocery store in Grande Prairie has reportedly been caught stealing in Hythe. Police say surveillance video shows 44 year old Garret Andrew Snell breaking into the rural business.

He has been charged with two counts each of break and enter and theft under $5,000, along with trespassing at night, vagrancy, and possession of marijuana. He remains in custody.

The GP store robbery happened back in January when Snell allegedly stole merchandise and assaulted an employee who confronted him. He was later arrested at a home well known to RCMP.
