UPDATE: RCMP issue ticket to driver connected to a Peace River collision

UPDATE: Peace River RCMP have identified and contacted the driver of a white pickup truck connected to a single-vehicle collision Tuesday. The driver was issued a $810 ticket under the Commercial Vehicle Safety Regulation. RCMP are thanking the public for their help.

The public is asked to help identify the driver of a white pickup truck connected to an incident on Highway 2 late Wednesday afternoon.

According to Peace Regional RCMP, the single-vehicle collision happened in Peace River in the area of Highway 2 and Range Road 231 around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, October 3rd.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that, while the victim was driving westbound, an object fell off a vehicle travelling eastbound, striking the vehicle. The driver was injured but is recovering from their injuries.”

Officers are looking to talk to the driver of a white pickup truck pulling a loaded trailer. The truck and trailer were last seen headed eastbound on Range Road 231.

Mounties are also asking anyone with dashcam footage in the area to submit it to aid in their investigation. Anyone who can help identify the driver, vehicle and trailer or who has information regarding the incident is asked to call Peace Regional RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
