Two charged after meth, fentanyl seized following Grande Prairie traffic stop

Two people are facing drug-related charges after police seized a significant amount of drugs. According to the Grande Prairie RCMP, officers responded to a report of a possibly impaired driver around 1 p.m. Sunday, October 1st. According to reports, mounties located the vehicle in a parking lot in the 112 Street and 100 Avenue area.

“As a result of further investigation, the male driver and female passenger were arrested,” Sergeant Shawn Graham says. “During a search of the vehicle, RCMP located what is believed to be 328 grams of cocaine, 240.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 378.7 grams of fentanyl.”

Along with the drugs, officers seized weapons, ammunition, four iPhones, and $5,745 cash.

36-year-old Brock Gooler and 33-year-old Cassandra Ouellette are facing charges of possession with the purpose of trafficking.

Gooler has been remanded into custody and is next scheduled to appear in court on October 4th, while Ouellette was released, and her next court appearance is scheduled for October 23rd.
