Moisture prompts County to lift fire advisory

The County of Grande Prairie has lifted its fire advisory. Burning permits will again be issued, and anyone with an existing permit can resume burning, provided they follow safe practices.

Fire Chief Everett Cooke says the decision comes as the region has received a sufficient amount of moisture. He reminds residents that a permit is still needed for any burning during wildfire season.
