UPDATE: As of 11:30 p.m. June 9th Peace Regional RCMP have reported 13-year-old Rocky Cardinal has been located and is safe. RCMP is thanking those who helped in the search for Cardinal over the past seven days including community members who assisted with patrols, called in tips and volunteered their services. Other agencies including Search and Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, Fire and other support are also being thanked for their help.
UPDATE: Peace Regional RCMP continues to ask for the publics help in locating 13-year-old Rocky Conrad Cardinal.
According to police, they received a report of someone seeing the teen. The resident took a photo of Cardinal and contacted RCMP. Officials and the Cardinal’s family unsuccessfully searched the area he was reported to be seen in. This is one of several potential sightings police have received reports of since he was reported missing on June 2nd.
In the photo, Cardinal was wearing a dark or black sweater and pants, shoes with white soles and a checkered print on top.
Residents are being asked to do a detailed search inside their businesses, homes, sheds and outbuildings for any signs of Rocky. Cardinal could potentially still be in the Peace River area, however, has expressed interest in the past to go to High Level.
Anyone with information on his location or who has been in contact with him is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating 13-year-old Rocky Conrad Cardinal.
According to police, the missing teen was last seen at his home around bedtime on Thursday, June 1st. According to RCMP on Friday morning they received a report he was not at home.
The 13-year-old is described as having short black hair and brown eyes, with a light to medium skin tone. He is around 5 foot 4 inches tall and approximately 110 pounds with a thin build. He reportedly has a black Under Armour backpack.
Police believe Rocky could still be in the Peace River area, but say he also expressed interest in the past about going to High Level. Anyone with information on his location or who has been in contact with him is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
