A youth has been charged with arson in connection to a fire in the area of Lower West Peace back on May 18th.
According to Peace Regional RCMP at around 8:13 a.m. on the 18th officers responded to reports of a fire. When police and fire crews arrived on scene they found a portable outhouse in flames. At the time RCMP found no “no suspicious persons,” but after continued investigation, RCMP was able to identify one suspect, who because he is a youth can not be named.
The youth has been charged with arson and was released from custody, and scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River on July 24th.
Police are asking anyone with information in relation to this incident or others in the area to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
