RCMP investigating damage to downtown Peace River

The RCMP is investigating several incidents in downtown Peace River where businesses and vehicles were reported to be damaged. According to Peace Regional RCMP, officers responded to five incidents, which they believed happened overnight on May 19th.

Three instances included businesses having their windows broken in the areas of 96 Avenue, 100 Street, and 94 Street. The other two incidents included a broken windshield in the area of 102 Street and damage to a vehicle in the area of 100 Street.

According to RCMP, “these files are still under active investigation and Peace Regional RCMP requests any community members in these areas to review any security footage available, then contact RCMP should you believe your footage may be of value to this investigation.”
