UPDATE #2: Grimshaw RCMP says the suspect is in custody and the hold and secure is lifted. It’s expected more details surrounding the incident will be released in the near future.
UPDATE: Grimshaw RCMP says it is looking for a subject of interest identified as 26-year-old Hayes Dale Robert Fuller-Garand. Fuller-Garand is described as having a light complexion, standing approximately 5’10”, with brown hair and green eyes. He has a light to medium build, has a face tattoo, and was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, white shirt, and black pants.
Fuller-Garand is considered armed and dangerous. If seen do not approach. Please call 9-1-1 immediately.
Grimshaw RCMP is asking residents between Grimshaw and Roma to shelter in place after receiving multiple reports of a suspect with a gun in a rural location between the two municipalities.
While officers respond, they are asking all residents in the area to not pick up people on the road and secure doors and windows. Residents are urged to call 9-1-1 if they see anything suspicious.
Authorities are also asking residents to refrain from posting pictures of officers in the area on social media until the incident is over. RCMP says no injuries have been reported as of 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 3rd.
