UPDATED: 37-year-old arrested in connection to Sturgeon Lake homicide

UPDATE: According to RCMP Vincent Campiou was located and arrested without incident.

A 37-year-old man is wanted on second-degree murder charges in connection to a homicide at a home on Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

Alberta RCMP Major Crimes is investigating a shooting which resulted in the death of 59-year-old Patricia Campiou.

Police responded to reports of a shooting around 8:00 p.m. on March 12th, and on Monday morning Valleyview RCMP confirmed to MyGrandePrairieNow.com that officers remained on scene and the RCMP Major Crimes unit was called in to take over the investigation.

Police say Vincent Nathan Campiou has been charged with Second-Degree-Murder. There is currently a warrant for his arrest.

Campiou is described as having a medium complexion, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 6’0 and 165 pounds.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Vincent Campiou is urged to call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
