A County of Grande Prairie family was recognized last week for their family’s history in the province. The Tofteland family was presented the award by Grande Prairie – Peace Wapiti MLA Travis Toews.
“Agriculture is a foundational to the economy and culture of this province and it takes passion and perseverance for families to farm the same land for one hundred years,” Teows says.
“It was a pleasure to recognize one such family in our community, the Tofteland family. Last week I presented them with the Century Farm and Ranch award to honour the homestead of the Matt Olsen Family farm which was established in 1915. Congratulations Morris, Pat and the entire Tofteland family.”
