Home Depot Orange Door Project supporting Sunrise House

Over the next month, Home Depot stores across Canada will be raising funds for youth homelessness programs, including the Grande Prairie Youth Emergency Shelter Society. The Orange Door Project asks for a $2 donation from customers, that goes directly toward the operation of the Sunrise House.

The temporary emergency shelter helps homeless youth aged 12 to 17 years old, and connects them with the programs and services they need to build constructive relationships with their families and find suitable living accommodations. Use is expected to rise as Grande Prairie’s population grows.

Home Depot says every night across the country, more than 6,000 youth don’t have a place to call home. The campaign runs until July 2nd.
