GPPCS’s Hunt for Hospice

This year GPPCS is excited to host our first ever Hunt for Hospice event. This will be our major fundraising event for 2022, and our goal is to raise $15,000. Funds raised will be utilized for our many Hospice programs, as well as the purchase of lift recliners and/or smart televisions for the ten resident suites, two family rooms, and the common space at Prairie Lakes Hospice.

The addition of smart televisions in the rooms of Prairie Lakes Hospice will provide some extra luxury to those who are staying there as well as those visiting their loved ones. Having access to new technology makes it easier to provide spur of the moment comforts like a favourite movie or song, and device mirroring can be used to share photos or videos of loved ones not able to visit.

At GPPCS, we are always raising awareness for Palliative Care in our community and supporting individuals and their families from diagnosis to dying and grieving. With the funds raised from this event, we hope we can reach more people in our community with our programs and services and educate the importance of dying well.
