Shooting in Dawson Creek under investigation

RCMP in Dawson Creek are investigating a targeted shooting Thursday night. They were called to a home in the Myrtle Creek Estates area of the B.C. community and found a 57 year old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital in stable condition. Police believe the location of the shooting wasn’t random, and there’s no further risk to the public. The suspect ran off before officers arrived.

Anyone who could help Mounties in their investigation is asked to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers. An investigation is ongoing.
