2015 RCMP homicide investigations almost double in AB from the year before

2015 was a busy year for RCMP and homicide investigations. Investigations into homicides went from 36 in 2014 to almost double that at 65 last year which is higher than the 10 year average at 40 per year. Since 2005, there has not been a higher amount of investigations.

There were a total of 11 homicides in the Peace Region in 2015. RCMP say they do not know if the trend will continue this year but so far they have been called to investigate a total of 6 homicides in the province so far.
