City of GP hosting Family Day activities at Eastlink, Design Works Centre

Family Day is coming up quick and the City of Grande Prairie is hosting a series of activities to celebrate.

Free activities are scheduled for February 16th at the Eastlink Centre and Design Works Centre.

Activities include full access to the facilities, games, a bouncy castle at the fieldhouse, an inflatable obstacle course in the pool, skating and rentals at Design Works Centre from 2:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the eSport Game Lounge at the same venue, a site-wide scavenger hunt, treat decorating, and crafts.

Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton says the city is excited to celebrate Family Day with a spirit of togetherness in the community.

We’re excited to welcome families from across Grande Prairie to this year’s Family Day event,” she says. “We can’t wait to see residents of all ages enjoying this special day and making memories with their families.” 

All Family Day activities are free and open to all ages from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Residents are advised that Eastlink Centre aquatics will be unavailable from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to reset the area following the Family Day event and reopens for public swim from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
