Wind warning issued for GP and surrounding area

Grande Prairie is under a wind warning.

Strong northwest winds with gusts to 90 km/h are expected Thursday afternoon, which can create some hazardous conditions in the region.

Strong winds can not only toss loose objects which can cause injury or damage, but drivers in high-profile vehicles may also experience strong cross winds.

Drivers are encouraged to be prepared to adjust their driving to changing conditions.
