Suspicious vehicle report in Fairview leads to two arrests

The Fairview RCMP has laid charges on two in connection with reports of a suspicious vehicle near 101st Avenue in Fairview on January 6th.

As a result of the incident, police arrested and charged 48-year-old Fairview resident Wesley Gordon Potratz on 17 warrants from incidents in Fairview, Peace River, and Grande Prairie. Charges include alleged failure to attend court multiple times, break and enter, numerous possession charges, flight from police, and several others.

Potratz was brought before a justice of the peace and remains in custody with his next scheduled court appearance set for January 13th.

The second individual in the vehicle, 37-year-old Hines Creek resident Luke Jordan Anderson, now faces charges of alleged possession of property obtained by crime. He remains in police custody and will join Potratz at the Alberta Court of Justice in Fairview on January 13th.
