GPPL partners with Santa for Christmas letter writing campaign

The Grande Prairie Public Library is partnering with St. Nick this Christmas season in an effort to make sure that kids across Grande Prairie get their wishlists directly to who needs them.

This year, the library will be collecting Letters to Santa in the Children’s Department, before Santa writes up his reply.

All letters to Santa must be submitted by December 9th, to give him ample time to read and respond to each one. Santa will drop off his replies starting at the Library’s Pjama Ball on December 15th, when kids and their families can join in the festive fun.

Head of Children’s and Teen Services at the GPPL Bailey Randolph says her team is “thrilled” to bring back the special tradition for another year.

The holidays are a time for connection and wonder, and we hope this initiative brings a little extra magic to every child’s Christmas,” she says.

The library’s third annual Pajama Ball is scheduled for December 15th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Rotary Community Room, and is open for all ages.
